Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of LearnFolk (learnfolk.com), a one-to-one tutoring marketplace operated by FreNiMi. By creating an account or booking a lesson, you agree to them.
Accounts
You must be 18 or older to create an account. A parent or guardian may create an account to arrange lessons for a learner under 18 and is responsible for that learner’s use of LearnFolk and for supervising their lessons. Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us promptly at info@frenimi.com if you think your account has been misused.
What LearnFolk is
LearnFolk connects students with independent tutors and provides the tools to book, pay for, and hold lessons. Tutors are independent and are not employees or agents of LearnFolk or FreNiMi. Tutors write their own profiles and credentials, and LearnFolk does not guarantee a tutor’s qualifications or the results of any lesson.
Bookings, the wallet, and payments
- You add money to your LearnFolk wallet through Stripe, and a lesson’s price is taken from your wallet when you book it.
- You can reschedule or cancel an upcoming lesson from your schedule. A cancelled lesson’s price is returned to your wallet.
- To ask for a refund of unused wallet funds to your card, email us. We review requests case by case.
- Prices are set by tutors and shown before you book.
Tutors
Tutors are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, for keeping their availability current, for showing up to booked lessons, and for their own taxes. Payouts are sent through Stripe once a tutor completes Stripe’s onboarding. Stripe’s own terms apply to payouts.
Acceptable use
Treat each other with respect. Do not harass anyone, share unlawful or explicit content, misrepresent who you are, arrange to take payment for LearnFolk lessons outside LearnFolk, attempt to access other people’s accounts or data, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and anyone may report a concern to info@frenimi.com.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post, such as profiles, messages, assignments, submissions, and reviews. You give LearnFolk permission to store, display, and transmit it as needed to run the service. Reviews must reflect a genuine lesson experience.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
Disclaimers and liability
LearnFolk is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, FreNiMi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and its total liability for any claim relating to LearnFolk is limited to the amount you paid through LearnFolk in the three months before the claim.
Changes and ending use
We may update these terms; if we do, we will change the date above and tell signed-in users about significant changes. You can stop using LearnFolk at any time and may ask us to close your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
